The Gator Mulcher's teeth redirect the air flow. As the air passes through the teeth the air is redirected back toward the center hole of the blade, allowing the cutting edge to continually re-cut the grass clipping. The longer the grass clippings remain in front of the cutting edge the more often they are re-cut, reducing dramatically the final size of clippings. The Gator Mulcher is environmentally friendly since it eliminates the need for bagging altogether. The clippings deposited into the lawn are cut 3 to 4 times by the secondary teeth, so they fall easily through the cut grass leaving a smooth even finish. However, if a particular job calls for bagging, using the Gator Mulcher will reduce clippings by 50%, and still leave a lawn looking 100% bagged.
